Recently designated Asset of Cultural Interest (BIC) in the Monuments category, the Castellana 81 building (former BBVA headquarters) is the work of architect Francisco Javier Sáenz de Oiza. Castellana 81 is one of the most emblematic buildings in Madrid, both a landmark in the urban landscape of modern Madrid and a benchmark of 20th century Spanish architecture.

Located in the AZCA area, the business heart of Madrid, its recent rehabilitation has projected it into the future as a symbol of sustainability, accessibility and technology. An extensive renovation plan of the interior spaces and facilities has been implemented. A comprehensive program of measures to position the building as one of the most sustainable and efficient in the Madrid office market, with significant reductions in energy consumption has enabled it to achieve LEED Platinum Core & Shell certification.
